My Two Cents....

AFter doing some research on Tutus Bliss...I found that Two Cents gives me a chance to talk about something a little bit different...

and I have found that I so agree with Tutu...

This weeks Two Cents is about childbirth...

So I share...

NO TWO WOMEN - CHILDREN - OR - CHILDBIRTH EXPERIENCES ARE THE SAME...GOOD GRIEF...

Let's start with Kadie Dawn...

Some of you have heard the story of her birth...easy peasy...

So easy I opted out of pain meds...of any kind...not even Tylenol..I took this option when I was like very early pregnant...like 5 months along...

The worst part of my WHOLE 9 1/2 month pregnancy was the morning sickness that lasted the whole 9 months and happened all dadgum day long...
I got used to that....

People I was in labor for 36 hours...

I slept thru 28 of it...

I thought giving birth was the easiest thing in the world and just COULD not understand what all these folks were throwing a fuss about,....

Why were all these women screaming cussing and crying? Why would they yell at their husbands - the men they profess to love?

Then I had Austin
I had the same morning sickness...the whole 9 1/2 months worth and all dadgum day long..
Wayne and I decided that I would have the same natural birth...
No pain meds...it was safest for baby and me
and ya know...the pain wasnt unbearable..
I can do it again and again...
Then I had Austin....
I sat straight up in bed at midnight in so much pain that I thought I was losing the baby...
I seriously thought that something was wrong...
I sat up and told Wayne omgosh its time to go to the hospital....
he said are you sure? You thought that last week too...
Yes we had been to the hospital 3 times in the past four weeks...
They all turned out to be Braxton Hicks pains....
But in my defense?
My whole labor with Kadie was no more painful than Braxton Hicks...
I didnt have a friggin clue....
So I told him again...
We have to go now...
and then I puked on him
:)
He got up....me still swearing on no pain meds..
Gonna have this baby natural....
Dropped 4 yr old Kadie at the grandparents and on the drive to the hospital?
I had a contraction so hard that I pulled the door panel off Waynes old truck door...
I had Austin in 9 hours and 14 minutes....
With an epidural.....
What is YOUR Two Cents on childbirth....

  2. So I have yet to have children but as a nurse have seen a birth or two. I must say though I've never seen a pregnant woman pull apart a truck door. Well done to you. ;D

  5. well my mother went out the easy way. She wanted a c section they told her they had no reason to perform a c section so she held her breath and gave them a reason LMAO. Thus after my brother being c-sectioned i was too.
